Vu de l’extérieur, avec sa façade en briques rouge cerise, le Soho Grand ressemble à un supermarché. Mais à l’intérieur c’est une autre histoire : deux chiens en fer forgé vous accueillent à l’entrée en vous laissant admirer des lampes carrées suspendues au plafond, des murs en béton et un sol en asphalte qui fait ressortir le verre comme élément dominant. Le Soho Grand ou « comment envisager le design industriel ». Il faut savoir qu’à son ouverture en 1996, le Grand a été le premier grand hôtel du quartier de Soho, quartier habituellement bercé par la quiétude des galeries de peintures et des restaurants italiens branchés. Mais ne soyez pas intimidé par son nom ni par cette impression industrielle. C’est un hôtel charmant et accueillant au demeurant. D’ailleurs son concierge se fera un plaisir de vous indiquer les bons endroits où sortir et manger et admirer des rock stars. more
